As already noted, you need to have the cheats enabled, and have permissions to run them. To allow the use of cheats in Minecraft please perform the next steps listed below:
- Launch Minecraft
- Open the game menu
- Select the “Open to LAN” option
- Next, scroll down to “Enable Cheats” and toggle the button to “ON”.
- Press “Start LAN World”.
Now that you’ve already had cheats in enable, you may wanna skip the above steps and get straight to the fun part which enables you to keep Inventory when you die in Minecraft. To do so, please proceed through the following steps as outlined below:
- Press / or T to open the chatbox.
- Type /gamerule keepInventory true. For this to work, the “I” in inventory needs to be in uppercase.
